Διὸ πρὸ τῶν διαλόγων εἴς τινα πλείονα παρεχόμενον ἡσυχίαν ὑποχωρήσωμεν τόπον. καὶ δὴ προϊόντες, ἔνθα ναμάτων ἦν ψυχρῶν καθαρὰ ῥεύματα καὶ δένδρων παντοίων χλοερῶν τέρψις, ἐκαθεζόμεθα. ἐπεὶ δὲ πάντες ἦσαν ὁρῶντες ἀτενῶς εἰς ἐμὲ, οὕτω τοῦ πρὸς αὐτοὺς ἄρχομαι λόγου·
