»Ἡ μαρτυρία κυρίου πιστή, σοφίζουσα νήπια«, ἡ διαθήκη κυρίου ἀληθής, σοφίζουσα νηπίους, τοὺς ἀκάκους τούς τε ἀποστόλους, ἔπειτα καὶ ἡμᾶς. ἀλλὰ καὶ ἡ αὐτοῦ τοῦ κυρίου μαρτυρία, καθ᾿ ἣν παθὼν ἀνέστη, ἀληθὴς γενομένη κατὰ τὸ ἔργον αὐτό, εἰς βεβαίωσιν πίστεως ἤγαγεν τὴν ἐκκλησίαν.
