Διὰ τοῦτο νηστεῖαι, δεήσεις, εὐχαί, ἐπάρσεις χειρῶν, γονυκλισίαι, ὅτι ψυχὴ ἐκ κόσμου καὶ »ἐκ στόματος λεόντων« ἀνασῴζεται, διὸ καὶ πειρασμοὶ εὐθέως ἀγανακτούντων τῶν ἀφ᾿ ὧν ἀφῃρέθη, κἄν τις φέρῃ προειδώς, τά γε ἔξω σαλεύουσιν.
