πρὸς ὀλίγον δ᾽ ἄν μοι σεαυτὸν ἐπίδῳς, ὦ Ἑρμῆ, ῥᾴδιον νοῆσαι τὸ τοῦ θεοῦ ἔργον ἓν ὄν, ἵνα πάντα γίνηται [τὰ γινόμενα, ἢ τὰ ἅπαξ γεγονότα, ἢ τὰ μέλλοντα γίνεσθαι]· [[ἔστι δὲ τοῦτο, ὦ φίλτατε, ζωή·]] [τοῦτο δέ ἐστι τὸ καλόν,] τοῦτο δέ ἐστι τὸ ἀγαθόν. [τοῦτο ἔστιν ὁ θεός.]
