φθορᾶς ἀναφαίνεται πάθη; πρέποι δ' ἂν καὶ τοῦτο σοφῷ διδασκάλῳ, τὸ διὰ πάσης φημὶ τῆς εἰς ζωὴν καλούσης ὁδοῦ, τοὺς ἀσύνετόν τι φρονεῖν ἑλομένους μεταπαιδεύειν ἐπὶ τὸ ἄμεινον· αὐτὸς δὲ ὑπάρχων ἡ αἰώνιος ζωὴ, ἑαυτὸν τοῖς πιστεύουσιν ἐπιδώσειν ἐπαγγέλλεται, ὅπερ ἐστὶ τὸ "κατοι"κῆσαι Χριστὸν ἐν ταῖς καρδίαις ἡμῶν διὰ τῆς πίστεως."
