Ἐπειδὴ μετὰ τὴν ἀνάστασιν ἔμελλεν ὁ Χριστὸς ἀναληφθῆναι πρὸς τὸν πατέρα μετὰ σώματος, διὰ τοῦτο δέδωκεν ἡμῖν τὸ ἴδιον σῶμά τε καὶ αἷμα, ἵνα ἐνοικιζομένη ἐν ἡμῖν ἡ αὐτοῦ σὰρξ καὶ τὸ αἷμα ποιήσῃ ἡμᾶς ἁγίους καὶ τῆς ἀθανασίας μετόχους.
