Mt 17, 24 καὶ πανούργως ἐρωτῶσι τὸν Πέτρον. ἐπειδή, φησίν, ἔθος ἔχει τοῖς τοῦ Μωσέως ἀντιπράττεσθαι νόμοις, οὐδὲ τὸ δίδραχμον τελεῖ, εἰδὼς ὅτι καὶ ὁ Χριστὸς ἦν εἰπὼν «οὐκ ἦλθον καταλῦσαι τὸν νόμον, ἀλλὰ πληρῶσαι», καὶ ὅτι τῆς οἰκονομίας ὁ τρόπος τοῦτο ἀπαιτεῖ. τούτοις μὲν οὖν εἶπεν ὁ Πέτρος—ἴσως ἐρυθριῶν ὑπὲρ τούτων διαλεχθῆναι.
