IV Τοῦ ἁγίου Κυρίλλου ἐκ τῆς πρὸς ἀλεξανδρεῖς ὁμιλίας. Ἔτεκεν ἡμῖν ἡ παρθένος τὸν Ἐμμανουὴλ, κατὰ μὲν τὴν θεότητα ὁμοούσιον τῷ Πατρὶ, κατὰ δὲ τὴν ἀνθρωπότητα ἡμῖν ὁμοούσιον· κατὰ τὴν θεότητα, ἀπαθῆ, κατὰ τὴν ἀνθρωπότητα, παθητόν. εἰ γὰρ καὶ οἰκειοῦται τοῦ οἰκείου σώματος τὰ πάθη ὁ Θεὸς Λόγος καὶ εἰς ἑαυτὸν ἀναφέρει, ἀλλά γε αὐτὸς μεμένηκεν ἐν τοῖς τῆς ἀπαθείας ὅροις· κἂν ἀκούσῃς αὐτοῦ λέγοντος "Ἔδωκα τὸν νῶτόν μου εἰς μάστιγας, τὰς
