Λίθος ἀλαβανδικὸς, ὁ καὶ ἀλαβανδηνός· τῷ μὲν χρώματι οὗτός ἐστιν ὑπομελανίζων μετὰ τοῦ πυρροῦ, διαυγεῖς δὲ ὡς πῦρ διαφύσεις ἔχων ἢ ῥαγάδας. Οὗτος λεῖος παρατριβόμενος μελαίνει τὴν ἐπιφάνειαν τῶν λευκῶν τριχῶν. Texte analogue, d’apres Archigene, dans Aetius. ΙV, 58.
