Ἰασπαχάτης ἐκ τῆς σμαραγδιζούσης ἐστὶν ἰάσπιδος καὶ τοῦ ἀχάτου· δύναμιν δὲ ἔχει δίψους παρηγορικὴν καὶ ὐδρωπικοῖς βοηθεῖ καὶ ἡπατικοῖς καὶ περιπνευμονικοῖς καὶ πλευριτικοῖς πινόμενος· καὶ τὸ σῶμα ἐανθὲς ποιεῖ.
