Ἔστι δὲ κῶλα, ἃ μὴ ἀντικείμενα ἐμφαίνει τινὰ ἀντίθεσιν διὰ τὸ τῷ σχήματι ἀντιθέτως γεγράφθαι, καθάπερ τὸ παρ’ Ἐπιχάρμῳ τῷ ποιητῇ πεπαιγμένον, ὅτι τόκα μὲν ἐν τήνοις ἐγὼν ἦν, τόκα δὲ παρὰ τήνοις ἐγών. τὸ αὐτὸ μὲν γὰρ εἴρηται, καὶ οὐδὲν ἐναντίον· ὁ δὲ τρόπος τῆς ἑρμηνείας μεμιμημένος ἀντίθεσίν τινα πλανῶντι ἔοικεν. ἀλλ’ οὗτος μὲν ἴσως γελωτοποιῶν οὕτως ἀντέθηκεν, καὶ ἅμα σκώπτων τοὺς ῥήτορας.
