[26 N.] — 9, 1 Δ—ου. ἀφ’ ὧν ἡμῖν τἀγαθὰ γίγνεται, ἀπὸ τῶν αὐτῶν τούτων καὶ τὰ κακὰ ἐπαυρισκοίμεθ’ ἄν, τῶν δὲ κακῶν ἐκτὸς εἴημεν. αὐτίκα ὕδωρ βαθὺ εἰς πολλὰ χρήσιμον καὶ δαὖτε κακόν· κίνδυνος γὰρ ἀποπνιγῆναι. μηχανὴ οὖν εὑρέθη, νήχεσθαι διδάσκειν.
