ἔρανος γάρ ἐστιν πολιτικὸς καὶ κοινὸς πάνθʼ ὅσα, ταξάντων τῶν νόμων, ἕκαστος ἡμῶν ποιεῖ. ὃν ὁ λείπων, ὦ ἄνδρες Ἀθηναῖοι, πολλὰ καὶ καλὰ καὶ σεμνὰ καὶ μεγάλʼ ὑμῶν ἀφαιρεῖται καὶ διαφθείρει τὸ καθʼ αὑτόν.
