καίτοι πῶς οὐ δεινὸν εἰς μὲν τὴν τῆς πατρίδος σωτηρίαν μηδενὶ τῶν πολιτῶν Ἀριστογείτονα τουτονὶ συγχωρῆσαι τυχεῖν τῆς ἐπιτιμίας, εἰς δὲ τὴν αὑτοῦ παρανομίαν παρὰ πάντων ὑμῶν ἀξιοῦν λαμβάνειν τὴν αὐτὴν δωρειάν; καίτοι πολύ γε νομιμώτερον καὶ δικαιότερον τὸ ψήφισμʼ ἐκεῖνʼ ἦν οὗ σὺ νῦν ἀξιοῖς ψηφίσασθαί σοι τουτουσί.
