Δέρκυλλος δέ φησιν, ὅτι γεννᾶται ἐν τῷ Ὑδάσπῃ ποταμῷ λίθος λυχνὶς καλούμενος· οὗτος, σελήνης αὐξομένης, ἦχον μελῳδίας ἀποδίδωσι. Γεννᾶται δ ̓ ἐν τῷ ποταμῷ τούτῳ (Μαρσύᾳ) βοτάνη, αὐλὸς ὀνομαζομένη, ἣν ἐὰν πρὸς ἄνεμον σείσῃ τις, μουσικὴν ἔχει μελῳδίαν, καθὼς ἱστορεῖ Δέρκυλλος ἐν α’ Σατυρικῶν.
