οὐκοῦν, ἔφην, ἀνάσκαψον ἐλθών, ὦ μῶρε. τίς δὲ κατορύττει ἀργύριον; οὐ γὰρ δὴ φύεταί γε. ἐνταῦθα πάντες ἐγέλων, ἐκείνου μοι δοκεῖν καταγελάσαντες. ταῦτα ἔστιν ἡμῖν· εἰ οὖν καὶ πάντα θέλετε, ἡμεῖς ἑκόντες ὑμῖν χαριζόμεθα, καὶ οὐδὲν ὑμᾶς ἀφαιρεῖσθαι δεῖ πρὸς βίαν ὥσπερ ἀλλοτρίων ἢ πονηρῶν·
