Μηνόδωρον φιλόσοφον παρεκάλεσάν με συστῆσαί σοι Μεγαρικοὶ νεανίσκοι, γελοιοτάτην σύστασιν· ὅτι μὲν γὰρ ἄνθρωπός ἐστιν, ἐκ τῶν εἰκόνων εἴσῃ, εἰ δὲ καὶ φιλόσοφος, διὰ βίου καὶ λόγου. ὁ γὰρ καθ’ ἡμᾶς σπουδαῖος δι’ ἑαυτοῦ συνίσταται.
