Ὀρθῶς ἐποιήσατε τὴν πόλιν μεταχρηματίσαντες καὶ καλέσαντες ἀντὶ Μαρωνείας ἥτις νῦν καλεῖται Ἱππαρχίαν, ἐπεὶ κρεῖττον ὑμῖν ἀπὸ Ἱππαρχίας λέγεσθαι, γυναικὸς μέν, ἀλλὰ φιλοσόφου, ἢ Μάρωνος, ἀνδρὸς οἰνοπώλου.
