Ἐπιμενίδῃ σοιασσατοιδιεα δι’ ἀρετὴν ἀνατλῆναι μένοις ἂν οἴκοι τὴν γαστέρα τέρπων καὶ τὸ σωμάτιον κοσμῶν. ἀκούω γάρ σε ἀρετὴν ἐπαγγέλλεσθαι, καί μοι τὸ πρᾶγμα οὐκ ἐφάνη παράδοξον· εἶναι μὲν γὰρ ἐσθλὸν κατὰ Σιμωνίδην χαλεπόν, ἐπαγγέλλεσθαι δὲ ρᾴδιον.
