Ἔστω ἡμικύκλιον οὗ ἡ βάσις ιδ, ἡ δὲ κάθετος ζ· εὑρεῖν τὴν περίμετρον καὶ τὸ ἐμβαδόν. ποίει οὕτως· σύνθες τὴν βάσιν ἐπὶ τὴν κάθετον, τουτέστι τοὺς ιδ ἐπὶ τοὺς ζ, γίνονται ??η· ταῦτα καθολικῶς ἑνδεκάκις, γίνονται αοη· τούτων τὸ ιδʹ, οζ· τοσοῦτον τὸ ἐμβαδόν.
