Ἄλλως δὲ πάλιν μετρήσομεν· ἐὰν ἔστιν ἡ διάμετρος ιβ ᾖ, πλευρὰ ἡ μία ἔχει ε· νῦν ποιῶ τὴν πλευρὰν ἐπὶ τὴν διάμετρον τῶν ιβ, γίνονται ξ· ταῦτα δίς, γίνονται ὅ· τοσοῦτόν ἐστι τὸ ἐμβαδόν.
