Ὅπως μετρεῖται ὀκτάγωνος, μᾶλλον δὲ καὶ θεμελιοῦται. ποίησον οἶκον τετράγωνον, οὗ τὸ μῆκος καὶ τὸ πλάτος ιβ, καὶ λαβὼν τῆς διαγωνίου U+2220΄, ἀπότιθε ἀπὸ γωνίας εἰς γωνίαν, καὶ δυνήσῃ στῆσαι τὸ ὀκτάγωνον ἰσόπλευρόν τε καὶ ἰσογώνιον.
