Τμῆμα ἧττον ἡμισφαιρίου μετρῆσαι, οὗ ἡ διάμετρος ιβ καὶ ἡ κάθετος δ· εὑρεῖν αὐτοῦ τὸ στερεόν. τῆς βάσεως U+2220ʹ ἐφʼ ἑαυτό, γίνονται λϚ· ταῦτα τρισσάκις, γίνονται ρη· καὶ τὴν κάθετον ἐφʼ ἑαυτήν, γίνονται ιϚ· σύνθες ὁμοῦ, γίνονται ρκδ· ταῦτα πάλιν ἐπὶ τὴν κάθετον, γίνονταιυ ??Ϛ· ταῦτα ἑνδεκάκις, γίνονται ευνϚ τούτων τὸ καʹ, γίνονται σνθ ??ζ΄· τοσοῦτον τὸ στερεόν.
