Ἔστω ἑξάγωνον καὶ ἐχέτω τὴν διάμετρον κ· εὑρεῖν αὐτοῦ τὴν πλευράν. ποίει οὕτως· πάντοτε, καθὼς προεῖπον, τὴν διάμετρον καθολικῶς τριπλασίαζε, γίνονται ξ· καὶ μέριζε· ὡν Ϛʹ, ἐπειδὴ ἑξάγωνόν ἐστι, γίνεται ἡ πλευρὰ ι. τοσοῦτον ἔσται ἡ πλευρὰ τούτου.
