Ἐὰν θέλῃς τὴν διάμετρον εὑρεῖν ἀπὸ τῆς πλευρᾶς τοῦ αὐτοῦ, ποίει τὸ ἀνάπαλιν οὕτως· πάντοτε τὴν πλευρὰν ποίει ἑξάκις, ἐπειδὴ ἑξάγωνόν ἐστι, γίνονται ξ· ἄρτι μέριζε καθολικῶς· ὧν γʹ, γίνονται κ. τοσοῦτον ἔστω ἡ διάμετρος τοῦ ἑξαγώνου.
