Ἐὰν θέλῃς τὴν διάμετρον εὑρεῖν ἀπὸ τῆς πλευρᾶς τοῦ αὐτοῦ, ποίει τὸ ἀνάπαλιν οὕτως· πάντοτε τὴν πλευρὰν ἑπτάκις, ἐπειδὴ ἑπτάγωνός ἐστι, γίνονται ξ· ἄρτι μέριζε καθολικῶς· ὧν γʹ, γίνονται κ. τοσοῦτον ἔσται ἡ διάμετρος.
