Ἐὰν δὲ ἀπὸ τῆς πλευρᾶς εὑρεῖν τὴν διάμετρον, ποίει τὸ ἀνάπαλιν οὕτως· πάντοτε τὴν πλευρὰν πολυπλασίαζε ἐπὶ τὴν ὀνομασίαν τῶν πολυγώνων· οἷον ἐὰν τρισκαιδεκάγωνον, ποίει τρισκαιδεκάκις τὴν πλευράν, καὶ τὰ συναχθέντα μέριζε καθολικῶς, ὧν γʹ, καὶ ἕξεις τὴν διάμετρον.
