114 λάπαθον τὸ μέν τι αὐτοῦ ὀξυλάπαθον λέγεται, φυόμενον ἐν ἕλεσι, σκληρόν, κατὰ τὰ ἄκρα ἅποξυ, τὸ δέ τι κηπευτόν, οὐκ ἀνόμοιον τῷ πρώτῳ. τρίτον δέ ἐστιν ἄγριον, μικρόν, παρόμοιον ἀρνογλώσσῳ, μαλακόν, ταπεινόν. ἔστι δὲ καὶ τέταρτον εἶδος αὐτοῦ, ὅ ἔνιοι ἀξαλίδα ἢ ἀναξυρίδα ἢ λάπαθον ἄγριον καλοῦσιν, οὗ τὰ φύλλα ὅμοια τῷ ἀγρίῳ καὶ μικρῷ λαπάθῳ, καυλὸς δὲ οὐ μέγας, ἄποξυς, καρπὸς δὲ ἐρυθρός, δριμὺς ἐπὶ τοῦ καυλοῦ ἐπὶ παραφυάδων.
