143 τραγοπώγμων, οἱ δὲ κόμην καλοῦσι. καυλὸς βραχύς, φύλλα κρόκῳ ὅμοια, ῥίζα μακρά, γλυκεῖα. ἐπὶ δὲ τοῦ καυλοῦ κάλυξ μεγάλη, καὶ ἐξ ἄκρου πάππος μέγας, ἀφ᾿ οὗ καὶ τὸ ὄνομα ἔσχηκεν. ἔστι δὲ ἡ πόα ἐδώδιμος.
