155 κάρδαμον δοκεῖ κάλλιστον εἶναι τὸ ἐν Βαβυλῶνι. παντὸς δὲ τὸ σπέρμα θερμαντικόν, δριμύ, κακοστόμαχον, κοιλίαν ταράσσον καὶ ἕλμινθας ἐκτινάσσον, σπλῆνα μειοῦν, ἔμβρυα φθεῖρον καὶ ἔμμηνα κινοῦν, συνουσίαν παρορμῶν· ἔοικε δὲ σινάπει καὶ εὐζώμῳ, ἀποσμήχει λέπρας, λειχῆνας.
