64 σαύρας ἡ κεφαλὴ λεία ἐπιτεθεῖσα σκόλοπας ἀνάγει καὶ πάντα τὰ ἐμπεπηγότα· αἴρει δὲ καὶ μυρμηκίας καὶ ἀκροχορδόνας καὶ ἥλους. τὸ δὲ ἧπαρ αὐτῆς ἐντεθὲν τοῖς τῶν ὀδόντων βρώμασιν ἀπονίαν ποιεῖ, ὅλη δὲ ἀνασχισθεῖσα καὶ ἐπιτεθεῖσα σκορπιοπλήκτους κουφίζει.
