84 ἐφήμερον· ἄλλοι δὲ ἶριν ἀγρίαν. τὰ φύλλα καὶ τὸν καυλὸν ὅμοια ἔχει κρίνῳ, λεπτότερα δέ, ἄνθη λευκά, μικρά, καρπὸν δὲ μαλακόν. ῥίζα δὲ ὕπεστι δακτύλου τὸ πάχος μία, μακρά, στυπτική, εὐώδης φύεται ἐν δρυμοῖς καὶ παλισκίοις τόποις. τούτου ἡ μὲν ῥίζα ὀδονταλγίας ἐστὶ φάρμακον διακλυζομένη, τὰ δὲ φύλλα ἐν οἴνῳ ἑψηθέντα καὶ καταπλασθέντα οἰδήματα καὶ φύματα διαφορεῖ μήπω πύον ἔχοντα.
