2 δύναται δὲ διαφορεῖν, μαλάσσειν, ἐπισπᾶσθαι, συμπέσσειν φύματα, παρωτίδας καὶ τὰς ἄλλας ἀποστάσεις μιγεὶς ῥητίνῃ καὶ κηρῷ ἴσοις, ἐπινυκτίδας τε ἐν σπληνίῳ ἰᾶται. σὺν λιβανετῷ δὲ ἕλκη παλαιὰ καὶ κακοήθεις ἀποστάσεις μαλάσσει καὶ σπλῆνα τήκει σὺν ἀσβέστῳ καὶ λίθῳ γαγάτῃ ἢ ἀσσίῳ ἑψηθεὶς καὶ ἐπιτεθείς· ἕλκει δὲ καὶ ὄνυχας σὺν ἀρσενικῷ ἢ σανδαράκῃ ἐπιπλασθείς, μιγεὶς δὲ ἀσβέστῳ καὶ τρυγὶ ἐπιτείνει τὴν δύναμιν αὐτῶν.
