Παρθένος. δʼ ὕπο πᾶσα Ῥόδος καὶ Κυκλάδες ἄμμιγα νῆσοι, καὶ δρυὸς ὠγυγίης ἄκῤ Ἀρκάδες ἄνδρες ἔδοντες, καὶ βαθυδινήταο μέγας ῥόος Ὠκεανοῖο, καὶ κλίμʼ Ἀχαιικὸν ἔσκε Λακωνίδος ἠδὲ Λακώνων.
