Δώριον, πόλις μία τῶν τριῶν· Ὅμηρος (Il. II, 594)· καὶ Πτελεὸν καὶ Ἕλος καὶ Δώριον. Δοσίθεος ἐν αὐτῇ τῇ πόλει φησὶν ὑπὸ Θαμύρα εὑρεθῆναι τὴν Δώριον ἁρμονίαν.
