Ἀττικοὶ τὰ Ἐλευσίνια. Ἐλλείπει τὸ καθ ̓ ἑαυτούς. Λέγει δὲ Δοῦρις, ὅτι ἔταν καθ ̓ ἑαυτοὺς συλλεγέντες τινὲς πράττωσί τι, ἐπιλέγουσιν ἑαυτοῖς· Ἀττικοὶ τὰ Ἐλευσίνια. Δοῦριν δὲ Ἀριστοτέλης φησὶ λέγειν ὅτι ἐκλήθη Ἀσιὰς (ἡ κιθάρα) ἀπὸ τῶν χρωμένων Λεσβίων, οἵτινες οἰκοῦσι πρὸς τῇ Ἀσίᾳ. Κίθαρον, καθ ̓ ὁμοιότητα τῶν ἀστῶν πρὸς τὰς χορδάς. Ὁ δὲ Δοῦρις ἀπὸ τοῦ Κιθαιρῶνός φησιν, ὅτι Ἀμφίων ἐκεῖσε ἐμουσικεύετο. «Verba Duridis pertinent ad vecem quae proxime antecedit, Κίθαρις.» HULLEM.
