ἐκπίπτει τοῦ Ὠριγένους ἡ ἀλληγορία. εἰ γὰρ μετὰ τὸ βεβρωκέναι τοῦ ξύλου ἐκτίσθη τῷ Ἀδὰμ ἡ σάρξ, πόθεν ἄρα ἄρα ἔλαβεν θεὸς τὴν πλευρὰν πρὸ τοῦ αὐτὸν βεβρωκέναι; ὡς διεγερθεὶς ἀπὸ τῆς ἐκστάσεώς φησιν »ὀστοῦν ἐκ τῶν ὀστῶν μου καὶ σὰρξ ἐκ τῆς σαρκός μου τοῦτο«.
