ποτὲ μὲν γὰρ ἔκλαιε καὶ ἐλυπεῖτο, ὡς λέγουσι, διὰ τὸ καταλελεῖφθαι μόνην ἐν τῷ σκότει καὶ τῷ κενώματι, ποτὲ Τε εἰς ἔννοιαν ἥκουσα τοῦ καταλιπόντος αὐτὴν φωτὸς διεχεῖτο καὶ ἐγέλα, ποτὲ δ᾿ αὖ πάλιν ἐφοβεῖτο, ἄλλοτε δὲ διηπόρει καὶ ἐξίστατο.
