Προοίμιον εἴτ᾿ οὖν λαλιάν, ἐπιγραφὴν ὥσπερ διαγράφοντες παλαιοὶ συγραφεῖς διὰ τοῦ αἰνίγματος ὑπόφασιν ἐδείκνυον πάσης ὑποκειμένης πραγματείας. ὅθεν καὶ αὐτοὶ τῷ αὐτῷ κεχρημένοι χαρακτῆρι προοιμιαζόμεθα ὑμῖν, ἀγαπητοί, τὰ] τῆς κατὰ αἱρέσεων † αἰτήσεως ὑμῶν έν ὀλίγῳ τὴν δύναμιν ἀνακεφαλαιούμενοι.
