8. Καλοῦνται δὲ πάλιν οὗτοι Μηρινθιανοί. ὡς ἡ Μοῦσα εἰς ἡμᾶς φάσις περιέχει. εἴτε γὰρ ὁ αὐτὸς Κήρινθος Μήρινθος πάλιν ἐκαλεῖτο, οὐ πάνυ τι σαφοῦς περὶ τούτου ἴσμεν, εἴτε ἄλλος τις ἦν ήρινθος ὀνόματι συνεργὸς τούτου, θεῷ ἔγνωσται.
