Εἰκὼν ἡ λίθος εἰμι· τίθησι μὲ Σείκιλος ἔνθα μνήμης ἀθανάτου σῆμα πολυχρόνιον. Ὅσον ζῇς, φαί-νου, μηδὲν ὅλως συ λυποῦ· πρὸς ὀλίγον ἐστὶ τὸ ζῆν, τὸ τέλος ὁ χρόνος ἀπ-αι -τ ε ῖ. Σείκιλος εὐτερ ζῇ.
