Eἐσὶ τόποι τινές, ἐν οἷς τοῦ ὄμματος τεθέντος τὰ ἄνισα μεγέθη εἰς τὸ αὐτὸ συντεθέντα ἴσα ἑκατέρῳ τῶν ἀνίσων φανήσεται. ἔστω γὰρ μείζων ἡ ΒΓ τῆς Γ∠, καὶ περὶ τὰς ΒΓ, Γ∠ ἡμικύκλια γεγράφθωσαν καὶ περὶ ὅλην τὴν Β∠. οὐκοῦν ἴση ἡ ἐν τῷ ΒΑ∠ ἡμικυκλίῳ γωνία τῇ ἐν τῷ ΒΚΓ· ὀρθὴ γάρ ἐστιν ἑκατέρα αὐτῶν. ἴση ἄρα φαίνεται ἡ ΒΙʼ τῇ Β∠. ὡσαύτως δὲ καὶ ἡ Β∠ τῇ Γ∠ τῶν ὀμμάτων ἐπὶ τῶν ΒΑ∠, Ζ∠ ἡμικυκλίων κειμένων. εἰσί τινες ἄρα τόποι, ἐν οἷς τὰ ἄνισα μεγέθη δύο εἰς ταὐτὸ συντεθέντα ἴσα ἑκατέρῳ τῶν ἀνίσων φαίνεται.
