Τῶν ἴσων μεγεθῶν ἄνω τοῦ ὄμματος κειμένων τὰ πόρρω κείμενα ταπεινότερα φαίνεται. ἔστω ἴσα μεγέθη τὰ ΚΝ, ΛΖ, Γ∠ ἄνω τοῦ ὄμματος κείμενα τοῦ Β, καὶ ἀπὸ τοῦ Β ὄμματος προσπιπτέτωσαν ἀκτῖνες αἱ ΒΝ, ΒΖ, Β∠. οὐκοῦν ταπεινοτάτη ἐστὶν ἡ Β∠ ὥστε καὶ τὸ ∠. ὥστε καὶ τὸ μὲν Γ∠ ταπεινότερον φαίνεται τοῦ ΛΖ, τὸ δὲ ΛΖ τοῦ ΚΝ.
