Τὰ αὐξανόμενα τῶν μεγεθῶν ἔγγιον δοκεῖ τῷ ὄμ ματι προσάγεσθαι. ἔστω γὰρ ὁρώμενον τὸ ΓΒ ὑπὸ τῶν ΚΒ, Κ ἀκτίνων, καὶ ηὐξήσθω τὸ ΒΓ τῷ Β∠, καὶ ἀπὸ τοῦ Γ ὄμματος προσπιπτέτω ἀκτὶς ἡ Κ∠. οὐκοῦν μείζων ὑπὸ ∠ΚΓ γωνία τῆς ὑπὸ ΒΚΓ γωνίας. τὰ δὲ ὑπ μείζονος γωνίας ὁρώμενα ἔγγιον φαίνεται. ἔγγιον ἄρ δόξει εἶναι τὸ Γ∠ ἤπερ τὸ ΒΓ.
