παιδείας δὲ ὑπερβολὴν καὶ ἀνα- γνώσεώς ἐστιν εὑρεῖν ἐν τοῖς λόγοις λέξεσι κατεγλωττισμέναις ἐντυγχάνοντα. τὰ γοῦν Εὐπόλιδος δένδρα, Λαισποδίαν καὶ Δαμασίαν, οὐκ ἂν παρῆκεν, εἰ τὰ ὀνόματα ἔγνω τῶν δέν- δρῶν οἷς νῦν αὐτὰ καλοῦσιν οἱ ἄνθρωποι.
