οὕτω λέξιν εὑρών τινα περιττὴν καὶ ὑπ’ ἀρχαιότητος διαλανθάνουσαν ὡς ἀνάθημά τι παλαιὸν καθαίρων εἰς μέσον τε ἦγε καὶ διακαθήρας ἐκαλλώπιζεν ὑπόθεσίν τε αὐτῇ περιπλάττων ὅλην καὶ διανοίας ἀκολουθούσας ὥσπερ ἅβρας τινὰς καὶ θερα- παίνας δεσποίνῃ νεοπλούτῳ καὶ τὸ γῆρας ἀπεξεσμένῃ.
