εἰ δ’ ἦσαν ἀνθρώποισιν ὠνητοὶ λόγοι,
οὐδεὶς ἂν αὑτὸν εὖ λέγειν ἐβούλετο·
νῦν δ’, ἐκ βαθείας γὰρ πάρεστιν αἰθέρος
λαβεῖν ἀμοχθί, πᾶς τις ἥδεται λέγων
τά τ’ ὄντα καὶ μή· ζημίαν γὰρ οὐκ ἔχει.
