καὶ μὴν βασιλεὺς ὅδε δὴ στείχει,
Μενέλαος ἄναξ, πολλῇ ἁβροσύνῃ
δῆλος ὁρᾶσθαι
τῶν Τανταλιδῶν ἐξ αἵματος ὤν.
ὦ χιλιόναυν στρατὸν ὁρμήσας
ἐς γῆν Ἀσίαν,
χαῖρʼ, εὐτυχίᾳ δʼ αὐτὸς ὁμιλεῖς,
θεόθεν πράξας ἅπερ ηὔχου.
