Ψεύδεσθαι ἐν πόλι μηδὲ εἷς νόμος ξυγχωρεέτω μηδενί, μηδενὸς πλὴν τοῦ φιλαλήθεος καὶ νοήμονος ἐπισταμένου τε ὁκότε καὶ ὅκως ὠφελίη ψεύδεος· τῆς δὲ ἀπὸ τούτου γινομένης χρείης ἀναγκαίη καὶ τοῦτο ποιέειν.
