Ἀλλὰ καὶ ὁ κατὰ θεὸν πτωχός, τουτέστιν ὁ τῶν προφητῶν χορός, λύπης πεπληρωμένος ἐπὶ τῇ τοῦ προτέρου λαοῦ καταστροφῇ προσέρχεται τῷ κυρίῳ τὰς ὑπὲρ τοῦ λαοῦ ἀναπέμπων δεήσεις μετὰ νηστείας καὶ δακρύων , ὅπως ἂν καὶ αὐτὸς ὁ λαὸς οἰκτειρηθῇ.
